The first hydrogen-powered car was introduced in Nepal.

Kathmandu. The first electric car running on hydrogen fuel has been introduced in Nepal. Kathmandu University (KU) on Saturday brought Nexo Fuel Cell Hydrogen SUV manufactured by Hyundai Company to Nepal.
Kathmandu University is studying and researching in the field of green hydrogen. KU brought the car to Nepal for study and research. According to Prada Virajsinh Thapa, the head of the University Hydrogen Lab, the vehicle was brought from Korea with the help of Nepal Oil Corporation.
The university has also brought a hydrogen vehicle along with a refueling station. Prada Thapa has said that the car is open for everyone to test drive. He also said that the vehicle will be put into operation after a grand opening.
The vehicle purchased by the university is worth around 80 lakh rupees in the international market. The vehicle has a capacity of 161 horsepower and can travel up to 380 miles once it is filled with hydrogen. The vehicle has a 6.33 kg hydrogen tank and a 120 kW motor.
Recently, the hydrogen car, which has been discussed, researched and tested all over the world, is expected to be useful in Nepal, which has the potential to produce more electricity.
