No more Prescription Required to buy Pills

About this, recently the Food and Drug Administration of the United States announced Go-contraceptive drug Opil can be used by women of all ages. OPIL says that the drug will be available in drugstores at the beginning of 2024. In 100 countries of the world, including the United States, contraceptives can be purchased directly from drug stores. The list of such countries includes South America, China, Britain and India. Women's experts in the US say that the sense of shame that women, especially teenagers, have about these birth control pills will no longer exist. Also, it is said that they will be helped with whatever problems they had to get health services related to reproduction.
According to the information printed in the National Library of Medicine, thousands of drugs were produced in the history of medicine, but in 1950, a big change came after the development of contraceptives. According to the information written in it, such medicine also gave women freedom and reproductive autonomy. Dr. SN Basu, a gynecologist working in India, says, "Contraceptive medicine is an effective method of family planning. If the medicine is taken correctly, it provides 100% prevention. This medicine has also given the freedom to have one child after another." Birth control pills contain both the hormones estrogen and progesterone, also known as COCs. Similarly the second contains only progesterone which is called POP.
Dr. Pratima Mittal, Gynecologist at Amrita Hospital in Delhi, says - "Earlier, the birth control pills used to be high in estrogen, which also had side effects, but now such side effects are very less." According to Dr. Suchitra Delvi, another gynecologist, women have both estrogen and progesterone hormones in their body. In such drugs, these hormones have different effects on the body. Dr. Pratima Mittal says, contraceptives can be used for a long time. It does not have many side effects.
